Baby Learns To Crawl (Paul Westerberg) Nothing too complicated about this three-chord (plus variations) tune when you strip it down to the bare essentials, but the recorded version uses some interesting effects to "color" the sound (maybe a little tremelo, some gain on the lead lick in the middle eight, etc.). The chords are briskly strummed on the high strings, with the low strings struck for accents and emphases on the changes. I've tried the chord placements in a couple of ways and find I have the most freedom to shift between highs and lows if I put a capo on the first fret and occasionally play the Bb and C up the neck with the first two strings ringing open in the power chord-ish style PW often uses.
