From: deepeddy@matrix.eden.com Subject: Re: I will dare chords Newsgroups: alt.music.replacements Date: Thu, 23 Sep 1999 14:08:01 GMT Actually, it's G-A. Play your G like this: E|-----|-----|--o--|----- B|-----|-----|--o--|----- G|-----|-----|--x--|----- D|-----|-----|--x--|----- A|-----|-----|--x--|----- E|-----|-----|--x--|----- 1 2 3 o play this note x don't play this note The 1, 2, and 3 refer to the frets starting at the nut. The A chord is a standard open A. Any questions? From: RSDaniel@aol.com "I Will Dare" I respectfully have a difference of opinion with a prior poster regarding "I Will Dare." Having struggled with it for awhile, and having closely watched Paul from the front row, I have come up with this: There are THREE chords in the intro/verse: G, A7, and Dsus4. You leave your pinky on the third fret of the high E string so that a constant G rings. Thus: G A7 D4 A7 E - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 B - 3 - 2 - 3 - 2 G - 0 - 2 - 2 - 2 D - 0 - 2 - 0 - 2 A - 2 - 0 - 0 - 0 E - 3 - 0 - - - 0 Those repeat (two beats per chord) all the way through the intro and verse. The chords of the chorus are E minor, C, D, C, & A2 (just the two middle strings fingered on the 2nd fret) The chords during the guitar solo are F, D, F, G repeated It all sounds even better on a 12-string guitar(which I don't have).
